Elderflower Fields - Family Kayaking

We are very excited to be offering our Family Kayaking sessions at the Elderflower Fields Family Festival! We will be offering our 1 hour family kayaking experience, designed for adults and children older than 8 years old, it’s a good way to exercise and experience that sense of adventure in the heart of the countryside.

During the lesson, you can expect to learn the basics of paddling and controlling your boat as well as general safety and loads of fun! The entire session takes place on a small, safe and sheltered river within the grounds of the Elderflower Fields Festival. Once the basics are mastered, you’ll head off on an adventure along the river to explore and participate in games and challenges to put your new kayaking skills to the test.

What will it cover?

  • Safety Considerations
  • Basic paddling – forwards & backwards
  • Turning
  • Plenty of fun and games

Who’s it for?

No previous experience needed, just a healthy sense of adventure! If you don’t mind getting wet and want to have fun then this is for you.

What you’ll need:

We supply all the safety equipment you’ll require. Bring along a wetsuit or warm layers to paddle in, fleece material and wool are best. You’ll also need a bottle of something to drink, and sun-cream if it’s a hot day.
